Gordon Bosworth
Gordon spent his formative years in the Royal Air Force (1976-1992) as a Physical Education Officer where he trained as a Physiotherapist and studied post grad with Osteopaths and Chiropractors as well as attending numerous courses. After several tours of duty on various units including Rehabilitation Units Headley Court and Chessington he left the RAF and became Head of Rehabilitation at the Police Rehab Centre in Goring on Thames and at the same time moved into Private Practice.
He has been the Senior Governing Body Physiotherapist to the British Bobsleigh and Bob-Skeleton Team (1996-2006 including 4 years as Performance Director) and was a member of the Great Britain Teams at the Winter Olympic Games in Nagano (1998), Japan, Salt Lake City (2002), USA and Torino, Italy (2006).
He was appointed Medical Lead for the Canadian Speed Skating Team ( Long & Short Track) at the Vancouver (2010) Olympic Games and as Chief Physiotherapist to United Kingdom Athletics/British Athletics at the London Olympic Games (2012). He attended Sochi Holding Camp 2014 with Canada and was a member of the Canadian Medical Team for the Games in South Korea 2018.
Gordon has been involved in Sport for most of his life and in Elite Sport since 1992. Specialising in Performance related issues. He has acted as a Consultant to several Professional football teams including Bolton Wanderers FC, Liverpool FC, Wigan FC, Derby County FC, Queens Park Rangers FC,Sunderland AFC,Harlequins and Cornish Pirates Rugby Teams. He is currently working with London Irish RFC.
Gordon does not just treat elite sportsmen and women, he applies his skills and knowledge to the general population regardless of age or sporting interest. He also integrates with and works in conjunction with professionals from all disciplines which makes for a true multidisciplinary, holistic approach to injury management.
