Just as physical fitness helps our bodies to stay strong, mental fitness helps us to achieve and sustain a state of good mental health. When we are mentally healthy, we enjoy our life and environment, and the people in it. We can be creative, learn, try new things, and take risks. We are better able to cope with difficult times in our personal and professional lives.
Through our UK network of mental health professionals, Sparta Health provides support to help adults and children of all ages manage their mental health issues.
As mental health and wellbeing varies for everyone, Sparta Health has a range of therapies and modalities available to suit a wide variety of situations and needs. Our psychotherapists, counsellors and clinical psychologists work with individuals to set and achieve goals, manage their mental health and emotions, and develop skills where needed to live a full and rewarding life.
Our assessment processes and practitioner treatment plans and reports are regularly overseen and audited by our psychological case co-ordinators and clinical advisory team.
A key aspect of our approach and the results we are achieving is due to our use of proven psychological methods delivered by well qualified and experienced therapists.
In general treatment focuses upon short–term, problem solving approaches, primarily utilising the following programmes:
Counselling – Suitable for many different conditions from psychological problems, bereavement, and life worries. It is a very supportive treatment by helping the individual talk through their anxieties enabling them to come to a resolution to solve them.
CBT – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – This treatment plan can make a big difference to a person in just a short period of time (weeks or months). CBT gives the individual the power to manage their mental health issues and can be used to treat depression, anxiety and trauma.
EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing – This treatment plan has been highly successful in helping patients recover from trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders. It also works well in treating anxiety, phobias and other stress related conditions.
Online - Programmes consist of self-paced, informative and interactive modules which teach effective ways of managing presenting symptoms, such as feelings of anxiety, depression and stress. The self-help modules have easy to use tools and activities to start applying in day-to-day life. At regular intervals, a supporter will check progress and provide feedback and guidance.
